ERIKA VIKANDER, Breckenridge, CO USA
Slopestyle Snowboarder

Erika Vikander's ulitmate goal is to represent the USA in the 2018 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. After being well on my way to qualifying for the games in Sochi, Russia, I unfortunately tore my ACL at the Breckenridge Grand Prix in January. Although this was a huge set back on my season, it has only fueled me further to pursue my goals in snowboarding and make the Olympic team 4 years from now. I was so close last time I could literally taste it, and I won’t stop pushing myself, and the progression of women’s snowboarding anytime soon.

JY STEWART, Vancouver BC
BKin, RYT-200

Jy was introduced to yoga as a compliment to her competitive swimming career and the stillness of yin did not suit a 12-year old competitive athlete. It was not until she discovered the empowerment of inversions and arm balances that she knew this was something she needed to share with others. For Jy, yoga is the ability to connect to your breath and allow that breath to guide your body. Breath, after all, is yoga.
