When was the last time you stepped back and asked yourself, "How happy am I?" Or, "How satisfied am I with my life?" For many people, happiness describes a sense of joy. Satisfaction is often related to one of our needs being met, often by external or material influences.
“Human happiness and human satisfaction must ultimately come from within oneself. It is wrong to expect some final satisfaction to come from money or from a computer.” Dalai Lama
True happiness can come from a sensory pleasure or even joy, but also from the satisfaction we get from the relationships in our lives and within ourselves. Of course, relationships aren’t the only sources of satisfaction and happiness. Learning new things, challenging ourselves, experiencing and taking in life’s little moments to embrace you, is what gives us deep happiness.
How will you get more happiness and satisfaction in your life?
