How to Wear Colour: A Guide to Breaking Away from Black

"But I Always Wear Black"

We know. We know! Black is always so easy and forgiving. Even my staff makes jokes about black being my favourite colour. However, a few years ago, I started wearing more colour. Just experimenting at first - greys, grey greens, beige etc. and then I started moving into more. Remember Stargazer? That became my favourite set!

Why add colour to your wardrobe?

Wearing colour lightens our mood. It elevates our vibe. And it doesn't have to be crazy bright. You can simply choose a piece that's a little different. It may feel uncomfortable or new at first, but give it a shot.

We choose colours that allow you to mix and match with other fabrics, textures and tones in your existing (or DAUB!) wardrobe. Most look great with denims, khaki-style fabrics and of course, leggings. We love a matching set but are also seeing a lot more colour mixing these days again.

So go ahead, try something new!
And, of course, if you're not quite ready, we have tons of black in stock for you too ;)

How to Wear Colour:

START SLOW:
If you've truly been a fan of black for years, it may take some getting used to. All of our styles come in neutrals which are great for easing away from our black staples.

MIX + MATCH
Test out a colour on the top or on the bottom. You can easily pair a colour with a basic like the Freedom Wide Leg Crop in Black to start. Or try a neutral like the Ribbed Tee in Ivory with a coloured bottom.

TRY TONE ON TONE
One of our favourite ways to dress is head to toe in one colour. It's been trending for a while now and still looks sleek.
