Our Sweaterknit fabric gives us the soft, substantial look of a sweater in a breathable fabric that feels lovely on its own.

We’ve used in previously in top selling pieces like the Juliet Longsleeve and Marie Tunic. This season, our sweaterknit fabric returns in two new styles: the Talia Longsleeve and the Monroe Mockneck.
What is DAUB’s Sweaterknit made of?
This fabric is blend of 62% rayon, 19% cotton, 13% modal and 6% spandex. It has the elevated appearance you want from a sweater, with a smooth, soft feel against the body. The fabric stretches comfortably as you move and holds its shape through repeated wears. It has enough body to sit smoothly without clinging, yet feels light enough to wear through a full day. The most important part for us, is that it’s comfortable without being too hot!
If wool makes you itchy, this is an especially nice fabric to try. The sweaterknit fabric has no wool in it and can be worn directly against your skin. It is breathable, so it feels comfortable moving between cooler weather outside and warmer rooms inside, without the heavy, overheated feeling of a thick sweater.
Two ways to wear it this season:
The Talia Longsleeve has a relaxed shape, a dropped shoulder and a gentle scoop neckline. Its long sleeves and centre-back seam add definition, giving you the ease of a casual top with a little more presence. Wear it with your favourite trousers for work, with denim on the weekend, or under a jacket when the weather shifts.
The Monroe Mockneck brings a different feel to the same fabric. Its soft neckline frames the face without the close, restrictive feeling some high-neck sweaters can have. It makes a simple outfit feel considered, whether you pair it with tailored trousers or your most comfortable pants.

We recommend hand-washing, using a garment or gentle in the washing machine on cold with like fabrics. Keep it away from zippers and velcro. For the sweaters, we recommend laying them flat to dry without stretching it out. There is no wool so there is no concern about locked fabrics but it will benefit from staying out of the dryer to keep the fabric looking new and to avoid shrinkage.
Does your Sweaterknit feel itchy like wool?
No wool is used in this blend. It feels smooth to touch and soft against the skin, so you can wear it without adding another top underneath for comfort.
Is Sweaterknit too warm to wear indoors?
It has the look of a sweater but feels lighter and more breathable than a thick wool knit. It is a comfortable choice for days when you move between cool outdoor air and heated indoor spaces. How warm it feels will also depend on what you layer over it. We have pieces this season that pair perfectly with this piece.
Will the fabric cling or stretch out as I wear it?
