Music festival colourful smoke over crowd

Summer Music Festival, Indoors Edition

We don’t know about you, but one of the things that we’ve missed the most during the summer of this pandemic has been going to live concerts and music festivals! There’s something enormously special about seeing your favourite bands and singers live, especially when you’re in a setting that allows you to appreciate their music with other fans. Those moments where you can let music sink in and take over are glorious, singing and swaying with crowds as one. Although road trips are replacing music festivals, in the spirit of enjoying music, we’d like to share with you what we’re listening to!

EASY LISTENING

For some soothing background music, might we suggest the indie genre? Check out this playlist, curated by our marketing assistant for some indie alternative jams that go well with a cup of coffee and a “Sorry, I’m running late!” email.

For those of you who shop at Aritzia, you might be familiar with the groovy, trendy playlists that echo through their retail locations. For easy background music, we love the Babaton Playlist!

THROWBACKS ARE FOR COOL PEOPLE

Looking for a bit more of a pump-me-up sound with some familiarity? Push back your permed curls and put on this old rock playlist to shake off a mid-day slump.

If the resurgence of the low-rise jeans trend has you thinking about the peak of Jay and Bey’s musical collaborations, check out this playlist full of the epitome of girl-boss jams from the 2000s!

FESTIVAL FEELINGS

If you had some festivals lined up that were cancelled, have you checked to see if they posted their playlists? If not, we’ve got you covered!

Whether it’s 2020 or 2019, you can be guaranteed there are some favourites on here. Please keep in mind that these playlists are curated by the music festival organizers, and there may be explicit/offensive language included in the songs that we do not condone.

Check out these festivals virtually:
